1. How would I transmit the billing information to Liberty for processing?
There are several ways our provider partners transmit information to us. You can mail, fax, email, or use the Alta Point scheduler to transmit superbill/encounter forms. Most of our providers send this informaton once a week.
2. What is a superbill and what if I don't use one?
A superbill would be any type of encounter form that can be used to show patient name, date of service, procedure codes, diagnosis codes and any patient payment made at time of service. It's helpful if there is a place for special instructions to the billing team. If you do not currently use any type of encounter form/superbill we can create one for you.
3. What kind of reports would I get?
When we have processed each batch of claims you are sent a transaction journal which shows all the line items billed for each patient, including diagnosis and fee with batch totals. Each week you also receive a deposit report which reflects all monies posted to your practice database (patient copays, patient payments, and insurance payments. At the end of each month we generate four main reports which are emailed to you. Insurance Aging, Patient Aging, Practice Analysis and Comparative Analysis. The last two reports referenced show procedures billed, fees, monies collected and write offs for the given period. The comparative analysis breaks down the above for the year by quarter.
4. How do you get paid?
We send monthly invoices based on a percentage of the total dollar amount we collect. Our collections include patient copays, deductibles, and all insurance payments.
5. Do you transmit electronic claims directly or through a clearinghouse?
We use OfficeAlly Clearinghouse. You can check them out at www.officeally.com. We have found them to be excellent AND inexpensive which allows us to pass on our savings to you!
